Live For Speed Demo By: GTX_SlotCar

This is not a review, just some screenshots and a couple comments. However, I will say that this demo is very promising. It has a nice physics model and graphics. As always, I like to actually use the things I review for a few days or weeks before I write an article on it.
So, onto the pictures. Click on the pictures to open a larger view in a new window.

By pressing F on the keyboard, you can show the Physics Forces on the car. Each is displayed in a different color and will expand and contract with the force. Besides being interesting to watch, it could be helpful in creating driving set-ups. |

I guess I'd call this a chassis view, but it's called a "wheel view" in the game. Front wheel drive vehicle. 1280 with FSAA. |

The demo has 2 tracks. One is a regular road course and the other is half tar and half dirt. There are 3 cars to choose from, but you have to earn points to choose 2 of them. This is a feature I detest in any racing game, but the points come quickly in this one. Anyway, judging from the demo, the game should be a big hit when it's released. You can download it and the patch at this address. www.scawen.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk
The official web site is www.liveforspeed.net. Once you have the demo, you can put this replay in your 'gst' folder and watch it in the Movie menu of the game. It's a 3 lap race with me and 7 AI drivers. It might help out newcomers and let you see what to expect when racing online.
