May 16, 2001 - Act Labs will soon be releasing 3 new products; a universal USB Shifter, universal pedals with clutch and the same unit to be used only with their RS wheel. For more info see "What's up at Act Labs?"

October 8, 2000 - Guillemot has introduced it's Windows 2000 drivers for the Ferrari Racing Wheel. The Guillemot and Thrustmaster versions of this wheel are the same.

You can get the new driver at the Thrustmaster web site or try this shortcut.. http://us.thrustmaster.com/support/readtechnote.php3?id=423

I painted the hex screws black for realism.   June 9, 2000  -     Guillemot has announced the release of their new replacement paddle shifters for the Ferrari FF wheel. If your paddles have broken, order a set (free if your wheel is under warranty) by calling or emailing Guillemot tech support. I've been told by a company  representative that the new paddles have also been incorporated into the manufacture of new units. They are stronger and reinforced so they shouldn't break

I've ordered a set myself and will show pictures here when they arrive. If you want to replace yours, use the article "Ferrari Paddles" in the Tweak menu as a guide, but don't modify the new paddles. *(see below)

Here are some  pictures of the old paddle (left) and the new paddle (right).

I've only had the new paddles for a few days. Upon close examination, I'm not really sure how effective they'll be in eliminating the breakage problem. Also, they are not a drop-in fit, at least not on my wheel. Some trimming is needed to install them. Maybe they fit better in the newest wheels?

Forget about what I said in June about not modifying the new paddles. As it turns out, the new ones break in just about the same way. I would still advise you to elongate the mounting screw holes and leave the screws a bit loose when putting them in, as shown in the Ferrari Paddle article. If your replacement paddles look the same as your originals, you won't have to trim anything. If they are different, as shown in the above pictures, you'll have to trim some of the new upright supports.

June 9, 2000  -    Act Labs has 3 new releases that may interest Force RS owners. The much awaited Nascar RS Shifter template (4 speed plus reverse) is now available and so is the paddle shifter upgrade. Both under $6.00 US. Also released is the Win 2000 beta drivers for the Force RS. They will only work with your wheel connected to the USB port and in split axis mode (operate pedals separately). They're betas, but seem to be working fine. Remember, some games do not allow split axis pedal operation. The drivers are free. Check out the Act Labs web site for any of these items.

September 6, 2000 - New RS Shifter patch by Julien, supported by Act Labs. This patch adds free shifting support to many games including GPL and NFS:PU. You can get it on the Utilities and Hardware Patches page.
